Wonder how to select a good LED Light Bar before you send it to your customers to destroy your fame?

Firstly, Let’s see which reasons cause moisture.

1, If an LED Light Bar is sealed well but in the production, the high humidity air is not dried totally. If the LED Light Bar has been working for more than one hour and it suddenly rains, the vapor turns into liquid because of a cold snap.

This happens mostly with the LED Light Bars which were produced in wet weather ( October in China )

2, If an LED Light Bar is not sealed well, the temperature inside gets down when you turn it off after one-hour working. The vapor gets inside with air because of negative pressure. Then next time the vapor inside an LED Light Bar turns into moisture like the situation 1.

3, If an LED Light Bar is sealed badly, like a poor quality waterproof rubber pad on both ends, Wrong size screws, wrong size PC / PMMA lens which leaves gap one LED Light Bar. You can imagine how easy it is for the water to get inside from the gap.

In this situation, you see there a lot of water or condensation inside the LED Light Bar instead of moisture.

4, If an LED Light Bar uses a fake breather valve or, some manufacturers even use a reticulation sticker, ( Always black color matching the LED Light Bar body color) to cover the hole which was supposed for a breather valve. This situation also gives a gap for the water entering like situation 3.

By the way, San Young Lights is not opposing to use a breather valve. Actually, a good breather valve does extend life because it balances the pressure outside and inside the LED Light Bar.

But some manufacturers just use cheap ones or even use a reticulation sticker to pretend a breather valve. This situation even happens to a very famous USA brand who import from China.

So, the factors causing moisture in LED Light Bar are incorrectly sealing, poor quality material and wet air in production.

Now you may ask, I already know the reasons for moisture in LED Light Bar, but how to know my LED Light Bar from the supplier have this problem before I send it to my customers? Below are the ways.

1, To judge if the LED Light Bar is sealed well.

Put your LED Light Bar into a bucket with 1-meter deep water. A few seconds later if there are still bubbles coming out it proves the LED Light Bar is not sealed well.

2, To judge if the air inside has high humidity.

Connect it with power (DC 12V or 24V ), Leaving it working for around one hour. Put the LED Light Bar into the water like the way 1 above. The vapor will become moisture to be seen visually.
